The one thing I hate about them though is the stupid vinyl carbon fiber stripes. I'd get a orange one take the vinyl off and do some black satin stripes.Originally Posted by CH@Dbee

very nice pics
people say that about alot peoples picturesOriginally Posted by NAIZBST
this takes that to a whole new level!!!
I hear ya homie.. which means we both have to step our games up, or maybe just meman i need a 2.8f lens and a wide angle, the bokeh on the Z shots is wicked and 13mm on the Z wide open shot is a very nice touch.. i have to get too far to remotely produce any kind of bokeh with my current lenses..

Oliver Bentley and Steve Demmitt. Definately on my top 5 most amazing automotive photographers list.

dude, just bite the bullet and buy a 50mm already and you will have all the boken you can take, i know you hates primes but its worth it, trust me!
but i feel ya dude, i was thinking about upgrading bodies but then i bitch slapped myself and am trying to pick up an 80-200 2.8 and a 85mm 1.8 before i even take a second glance at a d90/d300
Wow the GTR actually looks really nice from this angle.Originally Posted by CH@Dbee
Very nice photos!
thats a sick Z,but anyway, one thing i noticed that makes that photographer a step above others on here would be his use of lighting.. the lighting in everyone of those pictures in perfect...plus everything else is really good too.. nice photos chad!
I hear ya homie.. Im looking into gettin the 50mm, they just dropped a new one actually.. Its an AF-S 50mm 1.4f (http://nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/...mm-f/1.4G.html)Originally Posted by CH@Dbee
That 85mm 1.8f is on point as well, just did my research and its got nothing but great reviews.. So i might look into that was well..
As far as that 80-200mm 2.8f though, it be a min before i dump some cheese like that on a lens.. Im gonna go Turbo on the Coupe before then.. lol
That last shot is awesome.![]()
oh shit! you will be able to auto focus with that! hell yeah. 440 bucks thoughOriginally Posted by EJ_Allmota
they have came out with a 1.8 yet? 1.4 is nice, but its the same thing im looking at with the 85mm that i should have by the end of the year. the 85mm 1.4 is $1,025 at B&H and the 1.8 version is $384 at B&H. on the 50 or 85 im not sure if i think the 1.4 is worth 3X the price of the 1.8.
i was looking at an older used push pull 80-200 2.8, i have found some nice ones used(of course) for like 500 bucks
i wish i had a coupe to go turbo on![]()
Oliver Bentley is the shit. i don't know who he is, but he knows what the fuck he's doing haha.
yeah i like that one, by the look of the pavement i think he was having some fun LOLOriginally Posted by Kamikaze
story on that shoot was a dealership wanted him to take pictures of the new challenger and let him borrow it for a few hours, he said he got like 8 mpg cause of the way he was driving it LOL
I hear ya homie.. them 1.4f are on some wild shit with the price.. i think the 1.8f s will be just fine....Originally Posted by CH@Dbee

how much more DoF do you fuckin need, i mean damn at 1.4 only 1 square inch of what your shooting would be in focus![]()
the Challenger made me nut on mah belly![]()
Excellent pics.
I like his style because he pays attention to the background and composes using it. Those pics are also very sharp, which is something that I always like. Very cool.![]()
whole new level...beautiful pics...wish I had the money for a good camera...I don't use mine enough as is to justify buying a nice one though...
I couldnt see the pic but you got that shit right..Originally Posted by CH@Dbee

Fuck yea thats wicked bokeh/DOF i might look into that 85mm sooner that i thought..Originally Posted by CH@Dbee
Just like everyone said. Those pictures are dope.
Mainstream Performance
The third shot of the Z makes me want to cry.
I think a lot of the issue with a lot of ia photographers is location with automotive pics the background is key. im not a photographer but georgia has some great scenery that is neglected for the ole parking deck varsity photoshoot.. step ur locations up bitches.....lol
1.4 would be awesome for portraits, which if I'm not mistaken is what it was originally intended for.
I have a 1.8 right now, and a 1.4 would make me soggy.
Don't hate JITB. I've found awesome places to shoot from, but the problems come with people getting bored while your shooting. I can take awesome pictures, but making those images isn't going to be just a ten minute fiesta in some magical place.
If a person really wanted me to take awesome pictures of their car, I'd expect them to be prepared to spend an hour or more in one spot, (bring a j or two if needed) if I felt it was worthy, and up to 4 or even 5 hours in an evening getting all the shots needed. It takes time to compose stellar images, but when your the guy standing in the cold watching some weird fucker with a tripod stare through his camera for 30 seconds at a time, everyone has a tendency to rush things.
most ppl know it takes time for that stuff. they can wait especially if its free servicesOriginally Posted by DrivenMind
